G. Galilei – F. Bocchialini
“Galilei – Bocchialini” is a High School Institute , dealing with Food and Agricultural Industry.
Our School provides different levels of education, all dealing with Food and Agriculture, which the clear vocation of our Region, Emilia Romagna. In particular, the City of Parma and its surrounding area have a clear food processing vocation, that’s the reason why it is so important to enhance these types of school and to do them more flexible, ready to innovation and changes.
The School Program is built on existing strengths in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Plant Production Science, Animal Production Science, Agribusiness Economics, Real Estate Valuation methods, Mathematics, Humanities. The program is designed to help the student make important connections between the natural world and human activities through an interdisciplinary approach to agriculture. The pupils learn about connections with the natural world, such as air, water, soil, and plant interactions, which provide them with the knowledge base and technical proficiency needed to be successful with a career in agronomy. Developing human connections with other students, faculty, business leaders and government agencies increase their interpersonal communication skills and networks necessary to be successful in the marketplace.
The School “Galilei- Bocchialini” is attended by more than 1500 pupils. Around 200 teachers work there.
The different locations of the School are two:

“Galilei” Technical Secondary School is located in San Secondo;
- “Bocchialini” Technical Secondary School is located in Parma.
During the five years of course study the pupils have the opportunity to follow, several laboratory activities in orther to improve their professional skills. For these activities they have at disposition the agricultural farm and the industry (Food Farm 4.0) with a modern technological food processing plant and some equipped school laboratories including a new wine cellar.
